PathTogether

Collaborative digital pathology workbench. PathTogether is designed to help researchers share and present slides within a team, collaborate on slide annotations, markup, and discussion. PathTogether provides a standard plugin interface, allowing plugins to join the platform from the user's perspective and leverage platform capabilities to collaborate with other users.

Capabilities

1. Manage WSI, projects, users, sharing, permissions, annotations, comments, and operation logs, while also providing an OpenSlide + OpenSeadragon Viewer and a plugin host.

1. Accept PathTogether plugin injection, serving as the host for HistoPilot to enable human-machine collaboration with users. Responsible for HistoPilot's interaction layer.

Boundaries

The browser plugin panel collaborates with the Viewer via a sandbox iframe + HostBridge; the HistoPilot server accesses platform capabilities through versioned /api/plugin/v1, short-lived scoped tokens, and SSE. See Plugin Architecture for details.

Features

• Smoothly browse mainstream slide formats including SVS, TIFF, NDPI, MRXS, and SCN, with network transmission optimizations for multi-user collaboration environments;
• Create annotations using fixed physical-size ROIs, rectangles, arrows, and freehand tracing (adapted to meet the annotation needs of mainstream spatial transcriptomics platforms);
• Organize and manage slides by project;
• Support team collaboration through comments and change synchronization;
• Allow creation of temporary share links to quickly bring team members into collaboration;

3. Annotation and Collaboration. Save ROIs, arrows, or freehand tracings, add notes, and view annotations from other collaborators.

4. Plugin Capabilities: Open HistoPilot when AI is needed. Initiate tasks in natural language from the plugin panel. HistoPilot will navigate, zoom, capture snapshots, and draft annotations within the authorized scope, with the final results returning to PathTogether for human review.
